All our lives we’ve been hearing and seeing commercials from print, radio, 3 major networks pre-cable (if your old like me), cable, display ads, video pre-roll, billboards and more. So what is the key to the good ones?

Copy writing.

1. Wendy’s “Where’s the beef?” campaign of the 80’s. What’s in it for Wendy’s customers? More beef! Link to the famous Wendy's ad if you weren't around in the 80's.

2. Geico. “15 minutes can save you 15%.” What’s in it for the customer? Just 15 minutes of time could knock 15% off your car insurance.

3. Allstate “you’re in good hands.” What’s in it for the customer? You will will be taken care of should an accident happen.

Remember to always ask, “what is the customer benefit of doing business with my company? What do they get out of it?”
